Why Vancouver?

One of the world’s great cities.
And your child gets to learn English here.

Vancouver is consistently rated one of the most livable cities on earth. It’s safe, multicultural, English-speaking, and surrounded by extraordinary nature. For a child learning English, there is no better classroom.

Why Vancouver is one of the best cities in the world to learn English.

#1

Among the world’s most livable cities

The Economist and Mercer consistently rank Vancouver among the top 5 globally for quality of life.

~50%

Speak another language at home

Vancouver is genuinely multicultural. Your child won’t feel out of place — but everyone still speaks English.

250km

Of cycling paths and seawall

Vancouver is extraordinarily walkable and outdoor. Our camps use that — field trips happen across the city every week.

8–22°C

Typical summer temperature

Warm but not hot. Almost no humidity. The best weather in Canada for outdoor activities.

Safety

Parents send their children here from 30 countries. There’s a reason.

Vancouver is one of the safest major cities in North America. The neighbourhoods where our camps run — Kitsilano and Burnaby Metrotown — are family-friendly, well-served by transit, and walkable.

Our camps maintain a 1:5 staff-to-student ratio on all field trips. Every camp manager holds specialised first aid certification. We have operated camps in Vancouver for 14 years and our safety record reflects that.

The city as classroom

Every week, Vancouver is part of the lesson.

Our ESL camp themes are built around the city. We don’t take children to Vancouver landmarks as a reward — we take them there because that’s where the learning happens.

Stanley Park

1,000 acres of old-growth forest inside the city. Nature Explorers and Animal Planet themes explore its ecosystems, wildlife, and Indigenous history.

Granville Island

Public market, artisan studios, street performers. Used in culinary and cultural themes — learning the English of food, arts, and commerce.

Olympic Village

Sustainable urban design, wetlands, and waterfront. Used in My Vancouver, Urban Design, and Animal Planet themes.

Vancouver Aquarium

Marine biology, ocean conservation, and close encounters with Pacific wildlife. Used in Animal Planet and Nature Explorers themes.

Science World

Interactive exhibits, live shows, and hands-on experiments. Used in Invention Lab and Transportation themes.
