Pear Tree Education has run camps in Vancouver since 2012. Our ESL programs are designed by educators, taught by certified teachers, and built around real learning — not just activities to fill the day.
What we look for
Every ESL class at Pear Tree is led by a certified teacher — not a university student, not a gap-year traveller. We maintain this standard because the quality of the teacher is the single biggest factor in whether a child’s English improves.
Current openings
Vancouver (Kitsilano) and/or Burnaby (Metrotown) · July 6 – August 21 · Full-time seasonal
Lead a weekly themed ESL program for one of three age groups (7–9, 10–12, or 13–15). Plan and deliver daily activities, manage field trips across Vancouver, and create a supportive environment where international students feel safe to speak English.
Requirements: BC teaching certificate or equivalent · ESL/TESL/CELTA experience · Experience with children 7–15 · Available for all or most of the 7-week program · Criminal record check required
